Chapter 3 - Progress update #19

Due to external factors affecting the person supporting me with proofreading, work on the script could only begin this week. This means that I will not be able to release the game this weekend as I had hoped, but rather on the officially announced release dates (Tier 3 on 11 August).

In case something unexpected happens again, I have found a replacement proofreader who could also complete the proofreading for the release. So no matter what happens from now on, the release on August 11 will go on as planned.

This post is not intended to badmouth anyone; it is simply to inform you about the situation. I don't want to see any negativity directed at the person who helps me, so if you're feeling upset, please direct it at me instead.

I apologize for making you wait two weeks for nothing, and for not being able to give you an early release as I had initially hoped.

To end this post on a positive note, here is an overview of what I accomplished during my unexpected downtime in regard to Chapter 4:

• Completion of the script
• Purchase of all missing assets
• Construction of 27 sets + lighting
• Creation of 48 characters + clothing
• Creation of 45 test renders
• Creation of 27 camera raw image post-processing scripts based on the test renders
• Beginning of writing the first dialogue version. Current status: 4700 words

I will finish the first draft of the Chapter 4 dialogue in the next two to three weeks, and then I will take my earlier-planned two- to three-week break after Chapter 3 is finally released.
